Extremely disappointed - almost can't believe it.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I am so deeply disappointed in this product that it really hurt me, which is what Google associates its name with. I go Pro and ConsProsSetup was as easy as described, cool little trick with the phone talking to the router, very neat. The update took about 5 minutes to download, so it's not scary. Looks - looks great! The thin LED ring on top, the cool little cylinder shape, and the coating (blue part) are all very well done. Options - The Google Wi-Fi app offers many options such as LED ring brightness and simple DHCP/port forwarding. All well and good. That's where the good things end Cons Design - I know I just said it's a PRO, but it's just aesthetics, the functional design is just plain dumb. A connector on the back of the router is completely crimped if you try to cover it with a case and use that connector. Maybe they expected you to only use their flat/thin ethernet cables? Locking someone up in your product is not a good idea, Ethernet cables get damaged, frayed, torn, etc. Let me use the cable I want to use. I don't know, but I do know that this was the worst router I've ever bought. If I streamed from my phone, I wouldn't be able to use my Xbox. Take a speed test and you're good to go! 80MB down and 20MB up. Stream from my laptop and I can't even play Pandora on my phone! Serious? 100 devices? It couldn't even handle two. I've reset it multiple times, reset the modem, run tests all over my house (1400 square feet total) and it fails every time. Continuation. I think the problem is in the "smart" part, it doesn't recognize what bandwidth to allocate. for a specific task. For example, I was watching Netflix on Xbox, when you look at the bandwidth usage in the Google Wifi app, it shows NOTHING. 0.1kbps down and up when it should go to at least 30-50Mbps. It just never allocated the correct bandwidth and I even tried using the device's 'priority' feature. The same problems occurred. Mentioning a cable problem is just icing on the cake, in short it didn't work. I had to restart my modem and router twice for it to recognize the wired device. DONE, WITH THIS I connected my old router and everything worked as usual, all my devices can stream at the same time and I have no problems. The only reason I bought this router was to see if the OnHub ecosystem of devices would work for me in the future. After this horrible experience, I would be skeptical about trying again.
