# My Review This review is about the Detecto D186 dual weight digital personal scale. I am impressed with this product! As someone who has rarely used a household scale for over 20 years, this scale piqued my interest. Functionality and performance are close to the high-end scales I've seen, and accuracy is on par with scales I've used in the doctor's office. Details. In the box you will find the scale, the batteries that came with it, and the instruction manual. CR 2032 batteries have a plastic film that must be removed to activate the scale. The scale has an auto on/off feature that turns on automatically when you press it once with your toe and is then ready to use. I personally love the look! The scale is sleek, unobtrusive, thin and light. The scale works best on a flat surface such as tile, wood, or vinyl floors; So if you want to use this on carpet you may get mixed results. Also, the glass surface you are standing on can be slippery if you have wet feet or are wearing socks! I fixed this by putting some clear anti slip stickers on the glass which work great. I usually take about 3 measurements per weigh-in to get an average and so far the results have been consistent. I love the fact that the monitor has a large LED backlit screen that's easy to read (even from a distance) and a small button on the back to toggle between lb/kg modes. As stated in the product description, the device measures double the weight, which means it can calculate the carrying weight difference (if necessary). Bottom line, this is a good budget bathroom scale that works well! I recommend - I think it's a good find!
