I've been looking at a robot vacuum for a while, but the price has always put me off. After doing some homework for the cheapest "signature" robot I could find, I came across the PUCRC25 (and its brother PUCRC26B), the only difference between which I know of is the color. In other words, the C26B is just a black variant of the C25. I won't bore you with the details of its specs or how it compares to other robots in its price range because to put it simply; this is my first. All I knew about this particular model was that it was intended for people who have hard floors and don't want to overpay for anything other than an automatic floor cleaner. If you really need to know its quirks, here they are. He has to trip over something (twice) to turn away and take a different path. He turns right more often than left. This can lead to him constantly bumping into things, especially with office or dining room chairs. It's quite loud, not because of the sound of the vacuum cleaner, but because of the sound of the bumper hitting something twice. " too full - and its runtime is 30-40 minutes before stopping. Requires a pre-filter over the dust box, which is pretty flimsy and breaks easily. My main concern is breaking the unit. That's how Den works Charge bot I turn it on and it does its thing I think after doing its first job and seeing the results in the bin I would say it's a great "maintenance" bot between major cleanings I would like to point out that the amount of random crumbs and hair that accumulates in a household in a day can be amazing and it comes from someone who cleans and mops the floors thoroughly every 2-3 days rain or shine "keep my reviews up to date" meaning first impressions (like this one) will be updated accordingly over the months of ownership. I'll address any concerns regarding durability and customer support (if necessary) when the time comes, and I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone might have about this. But for now everything is fine. That's exactly what I envisioned when a $100 robot was shipped to your home. It's not going to replace my main vacuum or specialty mop anytime soon, but it's nice to have something that helps make the house a little cleaner. will be sent after registration. However, after registering the item, I had no contact, so I'm deducting a star due to the lack of contact with customer service. In addition, the device has no spare parts for sale, especially the battery. The only one available costs over $75 making it unprofitable. I'll try another vacuum cleaner battery that seems to be made in a similar way and let you know if it works. [Update 2] 3 months of continuous use and now the vacuum seems to be struggling to suck. Something is wrong with the motor and it sounds pretty weak and not as strong as when it was first run. I'm not sure if it's a battery issue or not, but it's not a good sign. For now I'm downgrading it to 2 stars and suggesting people start looking for other robot vacuums. I won't lose sleep over this, but $100 for 3 months of use is an expensive experiment. Also as a side note: I never received the "prize" mentioned in Update 1. They said they were temporarily "out of stock" of replacement brushes/filters and would notify me when they were back. Haven't heard any sound or updates since then. [Update 3] 2/4/2019 and the device is dead. It's actually been dead since last December but I finally got around to updating this review when I had time. The main vacuum motor died on me and no longer sucks. Strangely, the battery is still fine and the wheel and brush motors are fine. It just stops picking up dust, defeating its intended purpose. I contacted the gmail address "ryanwithpyle" who was the last person who ever spoke to me about promotional items and received no response. A request for information about the guarantee from him also remained unanswered. Even attempts to provide warranty service through the usual channels result in you returning the item to a fairly obscure New York address, which appears to be a third-party service center tasked with "repairing" defective electronics. And they want $15 upfront to ship the item back with no warranty if you ever get it back. Almost everything is done in this experiment. I would advise avoiding this particular vacuum unless you live close to a service center and can literally walk there if something happens. Too much hassle contacting someone for this or using their service. Much luck.
