I honestly can't recommend this device.

USB C Hub with Hard Drive Enclosure 8 in 1 USB C Hub Adapter with 2.5" M.2 SATA SSD Enclosure External Enclosure for Hard Drives, 4K HDMI, 2 USB 3.0 Ports, SD/TF Card Reader, 100W PD, Compatible with MacBook Pro, XPS In the box, the adapter comes in a silk drawstring pouch for easy storage, and the pouch contains a plastic pouch with a very small Phillips screwdriver. I assume the screwdriver is for installing the M2 SSD card inside. There are no instructions for this. The adapter itself has a USB-C connector at the end of a cable that's about 6 inches long. The cable has a wear-resistant nylon sheath. At the top [next to the cable entry point] there is a push button that tells you to turn the SSD on/off. On one side there is a slot for an SD card, a TF card, two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port. On the back of one long side there is a metal cap with the inscription "Open" with an arrow. Here is the M2 map coverage. It's difficult to open and I had to use a small tool to open it. There is a very strong magnet holding it closed [and why it was so difficult to open]. The cover is a bit thick which I think should act as a heatsink for the M2 SSD card as it generates a lot of heat when running. Installing my SSD to test the adapter, everything went quite easily, except for the part where the magnet on the lid kept grabbing the metal screw and pulling it out of my fingers. Otherwise it was as simple as inserting the card and screwing it on, then putting the cover on. After connecting the adapter to my laptop for testing, I received a Windows beep that the connected USB device was recognized. and the blue light came on on the plug side of the adapter. When I inserted a TF memory card for my test, it read the memory card and displayed the files on it, but I couldn't get it to recognize the drive at all. Pressing the small on/off button at the top doesn't seem to have any effect. An attempt to copy files from a TF card to my laptop got stuck in the middle of copying files for some reason. In this case I copied the photos to a backup. It seemed that Windows was having trouble understanding the information it was trying to read. After a while I decided to try another device. When I unplugged the adapter from my laptop I felt heat from the SSD card which was trying to work but Windows couldn't read it. I tried to remove the SSD card and although I could see the contents of the TF card, it wasn't copied. Windows would start the copying process and then hang. I put an M2 drive in another device and it read and worked correctly. I put the DF card in another reader and it read and wrote correctly. I can only conclude that this reader is defective. Is it unique? I can't tell you this is the only one I should have checked. I can only say that to the best of my knowledge and belief I cannot recommend this device. trying to read.
