I use this laser to guide the stitching on things like diagonals in piping joints and snowball blocks. He walks down to my table, then across my table. I didn't use his glue. It should be above the thread guide. I attached velcro to the sides of the track, on the smoother side, and velcro to my laser, as well as one to the side of my car. I can zip it up when I want to use it and put it on the side of my car when not in use. When I put it on, I turn it on to line it up with the needle hole, then I can adjust the direction it's pointing to line up exactly with my seam line. I am very happy with it.
