When I took off the first few pieces, i wasn't impressed with how sticky they felt. However, after attaching the large strips to the wall, I was surprised at how sticky they were when I tried to take them off. I don't use it to block paint lines, I use it more to prevent drips off the wall from hitting the baseboards. (I use a brush to cut through a line of paint when two different colors meet.) My husband and I painted our 2,000 square feet upstairs (it took 3 years because we also had to remove the wallpaper and add texture) and used lots of paint and lots of tape. I honestly don't know if it was this brand or another, but one of them gave our tan walls a slight bluish tinge, which I then had to repaint. If I don't leave it for a long time I will buy it again as the price was lower than some other branded items I've bought. But I wouldn't leave it for more than 3 days just because I'm not sure if it left a blue residue.
