I got these to leave in the car for hot steering wheels, etc. My car has a light color interior so it’s been a non issue. I’ve been teaching my son to drive and we recently replaced a worn leather shifter with what’s essentially a solid metal ball. That thing gets HOT! So, these are great when you drive stick and forgot to put something over the shift knob.
