Appearance corresponds to the pictures. I wasn't sure I'd like the loose straps on the sides, but it really depends on which button or four you choose for your fit. I prefer a tighter fit. I have a 7 inch wrist. When I use the hardest setting it leaves an imprint on my skin. I have the latches set in 3/4 inch increments. The third latch gives me a 7.5 inch fit. The second latch gives me an 8 inch fit. It's only been a few days so the skin hasn't softened as much as I needed, but I can say it's happening. Since I use the tightest setting, the keys that can't be used dangle for lack of a better way to put it. Since it has nowhere to attach, the extra causes extra tightening. Once I wear this for a few weeks I plan to trim off the excess to see if that helps. Looks great. Hopefully the finish will hold up for a while so I can really use it. I can put it on and take it off without help, so overall I'm very happy with it.
