I have been using satin wax for many years. I have never had a bad reaction to any of their formulas in all that time. In all these years I have never had such a severe allergic reaction as to this wax, bee stings are less dramatic! it caused such irritation in my armpits and legs that I couldn't put my arms down or wear my pants for two days. the skin was bright red, very swollen, and it burned as if I had been sprayed with caustic. The real annoyance is that I've had such good experiences with satin straightening that it's been the first wax I haven't bothered to do a skin spot test with! Pooh. Lesson learned. No matter how much you trust a brand, ALWAYS patch test a new product formula. always. Now I have 30 ounces of stuff I can't use. all this suggests that the wax itself is a pleasure to work with. It is a very, very thin medium temperature wax with excellent hold on the hair follicles with the thinnest application. I used less than 1/4 14oz can to do full legs as well as armpits. If you are not allergic to this material I highly recommend it.
