Great sturdy metal hangers for heavy items like coats. I bought these for my kids wardrobe where the bar is low enough for them to reach up and get their coats off the hanger. They pull the hangers/coats quite hard. I used to use velvet lined hangers, but they just jumped off the hooks if the kids tugged on them too hard (they broke very easily!). I don't have that problem with these hangers. In fact, they're so strong (and beautiful!) that I've replaced all of their hangers with these. My only concern is that they have nothing to keep clothes from slipping off, so they don't go with regular/lighter shirts and leave creases in pants when hung from below. I have to use velvet trouser hangers. I like the uniform hanger for the whole closet, it annoys me.
