I recently bought an M1 MacBook with 256GB of onboard storage. I've decided to buy a 2-bay, 2 NVMe drive array for fast RAID 0. I thought that this slot might not give me optimal speeds or might have some disadvantages. but it turned out worse than I expected. The drive was beautifully built upon initial inspection. It was very nice to look at, opening it with the screwdriver provided was easy and pleasant. The inner workings also made a high-quality impression, and two data carriers could be inserted without any problems. I added the supplied silicone gaskets as per the instructions and sealed the case with a screw. I initially chose USB Type A as my setup is currently set up via hubs. I have DC plugged into my wall and USB A plugged into a hub. The drive blinked blue when I pressed the power button and both drives indicated blue. For some reason, nothing showed up in Finder on my Mac. I then switched to USB C directly on my laptop. still nothing in the search engine. I checked the manual three times for mention of software drivers or anything I might have missed. Nothing. I don't know if I should exchange or switch to another offer. I figured the high quality, expensive option would be the least headache. I think I was wrong this time.
