I tried installing this pulley with the right tool and it went 90%, stopped and wouldn't move, stayed 3/16". I uninstalled it and checked everything and found no problems. I cleaned the inner pulley hub and pump shaft and tried again. Same results. Disassembled and cleaned the pump shaft with fine sandpaper to ensure there are no hidden burrs. I tried again with the same unsuccessful results. Disassembled and accidentally dropped the pulley. He fell a few inches and hit the crossbar of the car and then of course he fell 2 feet to the ground and drove 2 chips into the cheap plastic outer flange. At this point I figured the pulley would be replaced, but I'll find out why it won't last. I used a brake honer and gave the inner hub about 15 seconds to hone. This time the role went to the right. There must have been a small defect in the hub that the grinder took care of. I will look for a replacement with better materials.
