The 3.5mm jacks on the front and back of my motherboard are dead. I bought the G3 as a temporary solution until I upgrade my PC later this year. I am very impressed with the G3's features, particularly the Sound Blaster Command software. The sound quality is objectively better than with my built-in sound card. In terms of controversy, my friends say my mic is a lot cleaner than it has been in the past two years. The G3 also lets you output different sounds to the same output. For example, you can set Discord audio to one channel and game/system audio to another for the same output. If you enjoy streaming and don't need Discord audio, you can use these separate channels in OBS/streaming software to mute Discord audio. You can also mute the game if you want voice chat to be clearer on your stream. This is probably one of the G3's best features, followed by the microphone clarity settings that you get in Sound Blaster Command. I would highly recommend the G3 to anyone looking for an affordable, feature rich replacement for their onboard sound card. I also see the G3 as great for people using any laptop with USB-C ports (even if it comes with a USB-A 3.0 adapter) or people who just want to improve the sound for their laptop .
