I'm getting sick writing this. I searched for similar products for hours and finally settled on this one based on the description stating it would never ruin furniture. When I started applying the product I found it stickier than expected and thought I should take the advice and test it on an inconspicuous area. I immediately tried to remove the short strip I just started posting. I couldn't get it off without also ripping a 1" x 2" piece of glued leather off the edge of my sofa. Most of my sofa is real. Leather. I didn't know there were patches of bonded skin. As such, I am disappointed with both the quality of my sofa and the marketing of this product as safe for use on any surface. Straight from this product description: ✓ SAFE TO USE ON ALL SURFACES. Our cat repellent tape easily sticks to any fabric but will never ruin it.
