Annoying lip on mat

I have been trying various mats that use the same concept. One had a video implying it was a heavier mat that you could hit indoors and the mat changed color based on where the contact but what they were really selling was an outdoor mat that had to be staked. This mat is definitely one that can used indoors and shows impact but it is too small. I have found that when hitting the club slides along the mat and hits a plastic lip that is around the mat insert. I'm not sure of the reasoning except maybe to also hold the detachable mat more securely in combination with the velcro. Either the lip should be removed or the mat itself needs to be a little larger. I'm afraid of injury my wrist if I use the mat.

Pros
  • With replaceable surfaces, the mat is durable and built to last, making it a smart investment for any golf enthusiast
Cons
  • The mat may not have enough grip to prevent slips and falls
