TL;DR September 2020: You can use this with a kitten and you can use it with an adult cat if you cut one side of the elastic / when in a sitting position.Original post: As soon as it arrived , I took it out, wrapped it around my right shoulder and under my left arm (which was quite tight - obviously it wasn't meant to be worn like that, but oh well) and put my cat inside. . Sometimes he likes to use me as a human heating pad, but usually when I pick him up to hold him, he doesn't stay for very long. But it's one thing! I planted it and at first it seemed uncertain. After I helped him settle in, he fell asleep immediately. He didn't move and just snuggled up to him, leaving my hands free to write this review! I probably wouldn't be able to walk, but as I settled back on the couch we felt comfortable. He is a 7 month old Siamese so almost grown up and that suits him well. September. EDIT 2020: He's an adult cat now and still enjoys hanging out in the Critter Cuddler when I'm at my computer. I had to cut the elastic on one of the rings (there are two elastics) and tie it with an elastic - too loose without elastic and too tight with elastic, so I came up with something in between. I'm glad it's fleece so I could cut it without messing with the fraying fabric. I wish it was adjustable! .even though I know cats are not supposed to be pets. Other cat holders/bags don't fit my needs like this one, so I will continue to use them with the elastic strap. And yes, as I mentioned before, I don't stand or walk with him much. in this. But I have a bar table and it stayed in a few times when I got up. Every time I've wrapped the Critter Cuddler around one shoulder and under the other arm, we both get awkward as I stand up and have it dangling around my neck. However, I mostly wear it around my neck when sitting in a slightly reclined position. With a loose ring, it can rest comfortably. I like to use it to have both hands free when my cat insists I hold it when I'm working at my desk. When I bought this I didn't see people using it with cats. So, I'm here to say yes you can use this with a kitten or a cat (with some tweaking).
