They are so difficult to assemble. The glue that comes with the kit eventually works, but it takes forever to set, and because the grooves and slots aren't cut for a tight fit, you'll have to hold the thing in place forever. It's a flimsy mess while you wait for the glue to set. You can't just glue the two pieces together, let the glue set and add the next piece as this takes literally 5 days. It took two of us and all our patience to put one of these together because it kept falling apart whenever we tried to add a new piece. And then you should try to keep all 6 parts in place until the glue hardens. OH! This wouldn't be difficult if the slots that the pieces go into weren't so wide that there was a lot of wiggle room. The instructions say the glue will set in 2 minutes. NO. We made the video sticky at the 5 minute mark. I should have just released the video so you can see how it all fell apart, but when we finally got all 6 pieces together I was so frustrated I didn't want to start over. After 30 minutes we gave up and wrapped it in blue painters tape. Then I propped it up between two hard surfaces so it could settle into the right position. Eventually it calmed down sometime during the night. And it has held up really well. I only needed one coaster but liked the idea of having extra if/when I need more. I'm afraid to combine them. I can only buy quick drying glue. Although the advantage of this glue is that it is crystal clear and mixes perfectly with acrylic. But it's so fluid and subtle you can get it anywhere. Be sure to pair them with at least one friend and have duct tape handy - this trick is the only reason they were usable. Now that they are together they are solid and I really like that they are crystal clear. It was meant to be an embellishment in a science class presentation, so a clear stand really brought out test tubes and colors. The problem is that you need a whole day of patience to collect it.
