Review on Parker 99R Heavyweight Butterfly Platinum by Ryan Pal

This is the first safety razor I have ever bought and I am very happy with it. I kept watching straight razor vs safety razor videos and honestly didn't believe there was a difference as I've been using cartridge razors since I was a teenager. I didn't want to go straight to a straight razor, so I figured shaving with a safety razor would be an intermediate option. Since I wasn't sure if I would like it, I didn't want to invest a lot of money. I couldn't be happier with this razor. It's heavy, which helps me shave without pressure or pulling on the razor while shaving. Basically I just focus on maintaining the right angle and let the weight of the razor do the rest. I've done a little research online to compare blade types and the blades that come with the razor are consistently rated as some of the best blades on the market. I had a cut or two here and there for the first two weeks, but honestly I think it's my poor technique and not the razor. I will continue to stock my blades with the same Parker blades as the razor. Overall a quality shaver for the price.
