Well, now I like it. I think the construction is okay, but one of the plastic prongs broke off the first time I cut it with a very long bread knife. So rule number one, watch the knife tip and don't let it slip off the plastic tine because if you push the knife forward the knife tip will break the plastic. Okay, now you've fixed that problem. Next is the thickness of the bread. The standard thickness is fine, but I bake whole grain bread in my bread machine and this results in the slices being too thick for my liking. I went to Walmart and bought two cutting boards about 1/8 inch thick for 0.88 cents. I trimmed them to the bottom of the machine and the end, making the slices 1/8 inch thinner. Works perfectly and also protects the underside of the cut surface. Next, the thing slides everywhere when you use it. You could use a drawer liner sheet. You know, it's non-slip rocky stuff, but I decided to put little rubber feet on each corner of the bottom. Now it is perfect and works great. Without changes I would have given 3 stars, but with a little tweaking it's 5.
