Perfect for Silverado 2018 I had a problem with one of the keys as it was difficult to remove. Found it has burrs that needed trimming. Once I did that, there was no problem extracting the key. The other key was ok. So a 4 star rating instead of 5. I've seen some mentions of it being plastic and if you look closely at the filler neck it's plastic too. If this cap were metal, it would damage the filler neck. It is primarily secured in the grooves on the filler neck, so it is all the more important to align it correctly. I think the plastic could be a bit thicker or stronger, but that's the only thing available and it's a GM part. The only thing you can do if you want to keep your pen locked is replace the pen door with a lockable pen door. This is really necessary when you just need a filler cap without the added expense of replacing the fuel filler flap. It acts as a deterrent and also prevents water and dirt from entering the filler neck. hope it lasts
