Absolutely one of the coolest things I've bought for my cat! I live with Willow, the undisputed (and undeniable) princess of the universe. She has very picky tastes when it comes to toys and food. If she doesn't like it, she has nothing to do with it. Period. So I wasn't quite sure whether I should spend $25 on a food plate/toy that the cat might very well reject outright. But I've never been so lucky that I was wrong! This dish works perfectly for exactly what it's supposed to do: keep Willow from eating her food as quickly as possible, give her the mental stimulation to have to puzzle over how to do it. to get food and satisfy their natural predatory "hunt for food" instinct. Willow figured out how to get the food right away, and it took her much longer than usual to eat. (She's still eating as I write this.) Now that she's taking longer to find and eat her own food, she doesn't have a chance to try and sneak into my dog's bowl and some of hers to steal fodder. When Willow reaches into the center to eat something, I noticed that the outer rim automatically catches it, so there's no mess or flying food. Addendum: When I opened the box, I was surprised at how large the bowl was in diameter. But as I watched my cat begin to eat, I realized I needed a large size: there had to be enough room to spread out the food and enough space between the fish tails for my cat to grab them with her mouth or hers palm of the hand could reach. Paw. So size is actually a good thing. (Besides, she owns the whole house anyway, so who am I to waste more space on her plate of food, right?) Fishtails in holes; However, for safety reasons this is entirely justified as once the fishtails are securely fastened they cannot be detached. (By the way, I also think this feeding plate is great for small dogs that have to slow down their eating speed.) Ingenious design. assigned target. valuable investment.
