High quality, slightly heavier than what I usually get at dry cleaners. I like covering my hanging sweaters with this as it's easier/smoother to get them off the shelf. And I like to cover up black sweaters and tops to avoid pet hair or fibers from other garments. Don't worry about the smell; it dissolves quickly. And don't worry about ripping them wrong; if you pay attention to what you're doing, it won't happen. However, the price fluctuates; I paid $13 for twenty but now that I want to buy again the price has more than doubled to $35. I do not know what you are talking about.
