Unfortunately this item arrived broken. I didn't want to bother with coming back and waiting for a new one, but I managed to glue the pieces together. The knife looks light and cheap, but cuts well. so no complaints. I may look for a better quality knife to replace in the future. I like the design of this food slicer and how it is stored horizontally. It works well, but it would be much better if it was made out of better wood or good durable plastic. I'm disappointed because I don't think it will last many years. I don't like buying disposable kitchen tools.
