I love love love this cover! It has saved my mattress countless times from the scoundrel foster cats & kittens who jump into bed and leave a puddle to prove it. It also serves as a 100% protective barrier for my toes when the kittens decide they want to play footsie. I have the Cal King size, Chocolate-Cappuccino. I have nothing but compliments for the craftsmanship, smooth comfy texture, and color. Based on reviews, I was apprehensive about the washing and drying time, which has ended up not being an issue for me. Before washing, when cat urine is involved, I soak with Nature's Miracle first as directions indicate. I would do that first for anything involving cat urine. The cover does cut down on air flow into the bed, seeing that it's a layer of waterproof protection; for me, it's worth it. I am extremely grateful to Matt, Margaret, and the Mambe team for such a quality product that gives me ease, comfort, and fun.10/5/19 - I'm adding a note on the washing instructions which state "No bleach." I called Mambe Customer Service to clarify. I was told: No bleach of any kind, either chlorine or non-chlorine. Bleach is hard on fabrics and would harm the waterproof membrane which is the point of the blanket. Instead, (and for me the issue is cat urine), use an enzyme treatment like Nature's Miracle & let soak for a few hours before washing. If the urine is spread out over the entire blanket, a trick would be to soak in water and enzyme cleaner in the washer before washing. Warm water & a warm dryer are okay, just not hot. You don't want the blanket coming out of either the washer or dryer feeling hot. And this is because hot heat, again, would compromise the waterproof membrane.
