I bought this little booger about 3 years ago and it still works. Our adult children and their children lived with us for a short time and no matter how hard they tried to be quiet because I am a light sleeper I could still hear everything. It took about 3-4 nights to set it up and get the right volume and sound, but after that you're done. However, I would recommend using it for the first time on a weekend or holiday if you are a (disabled) person suffering from sleep deprivation. It's not scary to get used to, you just have to find the right volume and sound. We have EXTREMELY disrespectful people living 2 blocks behind us in an area where they play godless music until 2, 3, 4 am and since I'm out of town there are no noise ordinances so law enforcement can't do anything be able. . This thing absolutely saves the night! We also travel and spend long periods in our RV and sometimes RV neighbors can be noisy and obnoxious too, so we keep one for our RV and pack it too when we stay in hotels. Everyone knows this sound, you can hear a fart through the wall. By the way, I have bought other cars as gifts and this one had much better volume and sound compared to the gifts. I can't sleep without it now! Be sure to buy!
