Many of our microphones have their own custom shock mount. Unscrewing the brackets every time you change the mic was too time consuming, and we didn't want to fray the threads in them either, as some of them are a bit pricey. Works great with the EA87 shock and easily holds the first generation Neumann U87. We bought another one for the Sony suspension for our Sony C800-G and it also works great. The best thing is that they are all the same, so we can leave a base on the stand and separate all the mounts that connect to the other end of the other device and it connects seamlessly. We will definitely be buying 1 for each of our shocks and struts.
