Good Design

I don't think these sewing awls have ever been easy to use. They are very tiring. They are great for small projects and renovations. However, I like this one best when the coil is close to the tip. I also have a sewing awl that feeds thread from a spool in the handle. Looks elegant but I prefer the spool design closer to the needle. I think it makes it easier to feed the river.
