The magnet base is not strong enough to stick to the surface.
dial indicator good. The base is only good for flat surfaces, I wanted to be able to apply it to vertical surfaces so it slides down or just falls off. Complete garbage. I'm not sure why they even attached a handle to him to free him. cannot bear its own weight.
