First I bought a transparent cover but it didn't fit. Due to the placement of the holes/buttons/etc. The cases for the 3DS XL need to fit snugly around the sides and edges without bunching - some "open areas" so it's not snug on all four sides. This case is great. . Finish - Metallic - will not leave fingerprints or smudges. And the pink color is beautiful! One star deducted because the lid has a built in plastic tab that should toggle the power button on and off. It's difficult or impossible to get this tab to work, so I had to break mine and use a real 3DS power button. I'm not sure, why they didn't just leave this section open for easier access. What'
