Project: Drywall Cornices. First of all, I would like to point out that they are built quite haphazardly. The holes in the bases won't necessarily line up with the next piece you pick up, so don't use 1 to mark ALL your anchor holes! Second, I expected to use the included anchors and socket screws. Wrong-oh The plastic is so hard that the screws won't go in, causing the dowels to twist through the drywall. Now I can't complete my project until I buy lever or screw anchors AND pan head screws that fit into the recesses in the sockets. Of course everything would be fine if I had studs or masonry to install them, but even then they would be too darn short to hold the screws securely. Third, my application requires the brackets, rod AND CURTAIN to be FULLY ASSEMBLED on the wall as I had no gaps to insert the rod after installing the brackets. True, THIS complication is exclusive to me and my wand, but what a PITA! Another random Chinese product entangled with ZERO THOUGHTS ABOUT EASE OF USE. The product LOOKS like the answer to your problem, but when applied it is actually a poorly designed, self-destructing problematic product designed to cause complications or fail completely. Therefore, cornice holders are loaded from above and not from behind. May my misfortune relieve you of your sorrow. Buy cheap top loaders.
