Many years ago I bought one of the first RCR-3 radio-controlled clocks. It recently lost the ability to dim the watch face. Now he's doing accurate timing in my recording studio. I really liked this watch, especially the excellent sensitivity and sound of the radio. However, it was quite large. When I saw the RCR-9 on Revain I jumped on it. I received it yesterday and am happy with my purchase. Please note that as with all Sangean products, it is important to read the manual. Once I did that, it was easy to set up. The WWVB signal wasn't strong enough to set the clock when I did the setup, so I just left it on for a couple of hours and it showed the correct time and date. Memory tuning and recall for AM and FM stations is a big improvement. by RKR-3. And the sound quality is outstanding. At first I was concerned about the lack of tone control. However, the "loud" setting more than made up for it. Note that the RCR-9 adds a headphone output and an auxiliary input. It also has the ability to set the time via RDS whenever possible. The RDS function also shows station and track information on a large, clear digital display. The alarm volume and dial/digital display controls have been moved from the bottom of the device to the multifunctional snooze bar. A real improvement. Finally, the price is incredibly good. I don't understand how anyone can sell an alarm clock with radio controlled time and a great radio for $45. Read the well-written instructions again and you will love this beautiful alarm clock and radio.
