I was able to pack a pair of shoes, 8 shirts, 6 shorts, personal items, and a pair of slides.still had a little extra room if I wanted to squeeze in a few more items. I admit the exterior isn't super sturdy but I didn't need it to be because I was going to only use it as a carryon. It maneuvers easily, looks great, and I got compliments on it. Sadly, I got on a crowded flight and was required to gate check it and when I got it back, the airlines had put black scuff marks all over which can't be removed. So the downer is that the light color shows damage and scuffs easily. But otherwise, it's an excellent purchase. Just wish the airlines were accountable for the damage they put on my carryon!
