My 4 year old twins sometimes hold the valve with their teeth or bite the valve. This mom is never happy about it! Every bottle we've had so far has withstood their abuse. However, in this case it was possible to bite/tear off the tip of the valve. It still works and doesn't drip. But it's definitely not safe to keep using the other one, or even the one she ripped off, as there were still pieces of plastic there that she could rip off if she tried.
