Up until now, we've been using blankets on the couch so the dogs can sit next to us, but they're obviously not waterproof and they end up smelling like dog so no one wants to use them as blankets anymore.One of our dogs has some bladder issues and will tinkle a bit here and there. Not cool, bro, not cool. I wish I had thought to get one of these protective blankets sooner, but it honestly just never occurred to me. The front and back of the blanket are the same and I immediately tested its water resistance. It passed! Then I set it on the couch and let sir tinkles sit on it. He must have liked it too because he immediately tested its "water" resistance, as well.The laundry instructions said to wash separate and tumble dry low, but I was living on the edge and washed it with other darks and dried it regular. It came out of the dryer super soft and I had to test the water resistance again. And again, it passed! I can't attest to how stain resistant it is, time will tell, but I'm hopeful.I couldn't get Walter Heisenberg (sir tinkles) to pose for a pic, perhaps he was embarrassed. So he called Saul, who happily obliged.I'd love to get at least one more of these blankets to have as a back-up. It's a keepa!
