Finally I could use it. At first it didn't seem to work. I had to go to the Sabrent website and install the firmware so Windows could even see the drives I wanted to get data from. I had to do this on every computer I connected USB to. After that everything was pretty easy. I fully connected other USB IDEs or SATA and it works. I've considered using it as a media server hard drive enclosure as well with a USB port on a router or Xbox, but I think it probably won't be recognized on anything I can't update this firmware on. I'll try later I guess. After the update everything worked great. The transfer speed was as fast as anything I've ever used. I received data from several desktop drives and transferred them to a couple of laptops. Discs are easy to insert and remove. You may need to change some drive letters for data recovery, but everything is pretty intuitive after this firmware. The dock style and easy drive management makes it a really good backup bay and data migration tool. I saw a model with a fan on the Sabrent website when I was looking for a driver. This could be a useful upgrade depending on how much you need to transfer, as I've noticed some heat with non-SSDs.
