Review on KFI 105100 Winch Plow Mount by Zachary Ester

Do-it-yourself for plows

Bought in November and used twice as there was little snow this year. The stitching on the strap came undone and the plow fell out. The idea is great, but the sewing is complete bullshit. Very disappointed with this KFI product. Here is the response from KFI support 3/29/18 Hi Shane, I'm so sorry to hear about the plow belt breakage. The plow belt (105100) requires approximately 2200 lbs. break the seam. It serves to protect the winch from blows and impacts, as well as to cover the winch when plowing. You should make sure you are lifting straight and not pulling on yourself. Be sure not to lift the blade while it is in the snow. Also make sure you don't plow with tension on the belt or with the blade in the air, it's only for raising and lowering the plow. If you don't need a winch guard you can always tie a strap to the hook and use it normally. Again, I'm sorry the belt broke and unfortunately it's out of warranty as it wears out. Update 12.05.2019KFI has now increased the number of bullet points on this strap to 3 (up from 2). And added an extra 1,000 pounds of tensile strength to the description. It now reads "3,200 lb. Safety Feature". a brand that doesn't stand behind its product, I wanted to recognize these changes.
