I previously had nose pads with lines to keep them from slipping but they were irritating on my nose. I got this and didn't have the same problem. They stayed a long time. I recently had to replace one of them which came loose after 6+ months of use, and even while living in a hot (AZ) state. What I liked most about them was that I didn't have to tightly adjust the glasses around my ear. I did this originally, it bothered my ear to the point of a headache. It didn't stop them from sliding down my nose either. It stopped all these problems. I tried the earplugs but they bothered me too much so I took them off. I recently got new glasses and haven't worn them. The glasses are exactly the same except they don't have a reading prescription below. I thought I wouldn't need to wear the nose pads because I only use them for driving, but I found that they still didn't keep my head up all the time. I'll add these nose pads to them. Another plus is that when I lost one while I was out I was able to put it back on and held it again until I got home. Even if it was hot, it didn't bother me on the nose. Most of the time I don't notice it. I didn't want glasses with nose pads and temples because I have long hair and didn't like the way it got tangled. These solved the problem.
