You can definitely tell the dock has been repaired by a third party. The most obvious sign is the old barrel-style power supply it came with, which only included an adapter for the newer rectangular design. The dock is fully functional so far. I've tested all ports, including all three video outputs, and found no issues. So it's a fully functional Thinkpad Dock, albeit with a ghetto-mounted power supply, and I ended up paying over a hundred dollars less than other sellers were asking. for identical new/used devices. If this order was somehow critical, I would probably order from another seller. But in the absence of such concerns, the risk of potential problems due to a bad device made it worth gambling for such significant cost savings. In short: it worked well for me!
