The instructions that came with the bag are misleading. These are very basic instructions, but they indicate that you must "slide the zipper under the cap". The picture and wording make it look like you're putting a zipper puller (rubber) under the lock. Then click on the lock. It seems to latch, but it's very loose and the bag opens easily. Instead, you slide a real piece of metal under the lock and press the lock. This method is correct and very safe. The rubber part sticks out from under the lock and the bag CANNOT be opened. It took me a while to figure out how to close this bag properly so I gave it 4 stars.
