Review on Swig Savvy Sports Leakproof Glass Water Bottle - 25oz, Wide Mouth, Pink by Hector Nito

I decided to buy 2 different Revain water bottles to see what I like best. One was glass, the other plastic from another company. The BIGGEST difference was in the weight. The weight actually surprised me as it's a lot heavier but nothing I couldn't handle. However, some people may not like heavier material. I don't notice the plastic taste when using a plastic bottle, so that wasn't my reason for trying glass. I was only curious. I've had the bottle for almost 2 weeks. I have NOT had any problems with mold in the straw lid as many reviews say in the many straw lid reviews on bottled water (I've only used the straw lid and not the other two but it's GOOD to have a reserve in case I run into problems! ) I have a cheap bottle brush from Wal-Mart that has a smaller bottle brush handle. I think it came from the children's section of the store. This is the perfect size for cleaning the inside of a straw. Since I don't have a dishwasher, I have to wash by hand. I use dish soap and bottle brushes, then let them air out for at least an hour before refilling between uses. I use colored water flavor without sugar. If you use a straw, it will absorb a small amount of aroma. But with soap and that little brush I mentioned, it rinses clean every time. So by doing a real cleaning inside the straw instead of just passing hot water through it, I have NO buildup or mold. It's durable too! I dropped it once or twice and once the cat even threw it off the table. There are no cracks at all. Another small issue is the handle on the straw lid. Its shape doesn't make it easy to carry such a heavy weight just by the handle. Fingers hurt because of the shape. That's why I have to carry the bottle by the bottle itself when I go for a walk and not by the handle. The rubber offers an easy grip and is great for my small hand. I didn't have to remove the rubber when cleaning, nor do I see any mold or debris under the rubber. Overall I love this bottle and am glad I bought it.
