Okay, first of all. Forget all the negative reviews just for bad assembly instructions. Setting up a WiFi extender is as easy as pressing the WPS button on your router, then the extender. Wait about 2 minutes for the light on the extender to turn green, then go to the website for setup instructions. It is so easy. Throw away the instructions. I don't know who wrote them, but they are terrible. Now to the expander itself. I have an ASUS AC1750 router that we bought in 2016 and it's still good by today's standards, but recently we put it in a closet behind the TV to make it look nice and the set-top boxes, the router, the modem and the wireless TV transmission hidden. Unfortunately the signal is pretty poor now that the router is in the closet as that is one end of the house. We ran an extension cord down the middle of the house on the middle floor. Wow! That's great. I log more than 100Mbps on 5g stable in the KELLER. That's great. I haven't found any compared to my previous Netgear extender which had a lot of dead/very slow zones. I also really like the MIMO feature, which basically allows this thing to provide a fast lane for three devices. Don't get me wrong, this is a great feature and more and more routers and extenders will have it in the future, but when 7 devices are connected to this thing it still works very quickly. I will update the speed tests in the near future.
