Review on Adapter Multi Display Converter Projector Chromebook Computer Accessories & Peripherals in Computer Cable Adapters by Landon Bandepalli

This device has two USB ports disabled when not in use.

Bought this unit to connect a monitor to an 11 year old HP desktop computer to check for existing monitor problems that are not there. There are no HDMI ports on this PC and it worked with a VGA cable through a USB port - which is handy. It comes with a small CD. I have never taken a CD of this size and put it in the drive. Once the device was connected to the USB, after clicking on the C drive device name and following the instructions, the driver appeared to be installed. It worked to the point where the two USB ports became inoperable when the device was removed (not sure if that's supposed to happen, but I don't think it is). When troubleshooting, I knew these USB ports worked before. Now I had to find out what was going on, and instinctively this new device was responsible for it. I noticed that the device name is listed as (xxx USB Display.) in the Win 7 start menu and then tried to uninstall the installed software. And if you check C drive, it shows: WinUsbDisplay date 10/17/2019. An attempt was made to uninstall the software, but the message says it is in use. Very annoying as device and monitor were unplugged. I had to go to task manager to close the process and application, after that I was able to delete them. I don't want anything to do with it, so it all went back. I'm not a techie!
