Great socks for my 6 year old but if your kid doesn't like the labels, drawstrings or textures. You may not need them. The M for medium is embroidered on the heel of the sock and my son hates feeling it when walking. I just cut as many strings as possible. But it's really annoying! But generally not too thick and not thin, but the ideal height for a bob cut.
