Great kit! Easy to use

Updated upon completion of project I really liked this set. This was my first cross stitch project that I have done in a very long time. I have included photos of everything in the package: embossed Aida canvas, patterned design, embroidery threads, 2 different instructions for the embossed or counted cross version and an insert showing the finished project. . (2 sewing needles were included) The fabric is very well printed, the squares are very clear and there are no fuzzy or fuzzy edges yet. I compare the paper pattern with the die-cut pattern and everything fits so far. Sometimes I get confused by yarn colors and colored squares on fabric, sometimes I need to stop and remember what color I'm working on. This kit appears to have 2 different color codes. There is one for the die-cut pattern, the key is printed on the bottom and side of the fabric, then there is a key that is on the paper pattern, which is different from the key on the fabric. This really confused me many times and I had to double check what color I should have used. For example, white is the letter N on a paper pattern, while die-cut fabric is a pale green square. What really helps is that each key includes a DMC# thread so you know you're using the correct color. I was a little annoyed with all the color changes in the design but in the end I think it was worth it because I really like the finished work! It also helps that they printed the grid lines directly onto the fabric, each 10x10 square block is helpful for stitch counting and making sure you're on the right track. All the prints and lines and the color key that washed off very lightly on the fabric needed a bit of soaking, I also used a few drops of Woolite and had no problems with that. Haven't decided what to do with it yet as everything is dry and looking great. I can put it in a frame or something like that. It lasted about 2 weeks for a few hours a day. 😁 I ran out of a few colors but luckily I had the right ones and was able to complete the project without stopping and waiting for delivery. I have many threads in some colors.
