I don't know if this is a genuine Samsung pen. I think this is not Chinese imitation. It's not TERRIBLE, but it's not the same. It came free standing in a postal envelope, the first clue. This is my third buy-in since I broke my first and then lost my second. This pen works and looks the same as the real thing, but with a few differences. It fits the hole perfectly and really works I think and I wouldn't complain except for one thing that's obvious to me. The tip is different. On the originals, the tip is delicate and the screen is easy to touch and I can type easily. There is a clear difference with this pen. You have to apply pressure with every touch. In fact, the tip of the pen needs to be pressed for it to work effectively. I can barely touch the original and it prints or makes my choice. With this pen, I have to be careful and press it to make selections and type. I notice it very much. Maybe that doesn't bother many. I would send it back but it's just a hassle. I will contact Samsung to make sure I get a real pen. I will keep this as a backup in case I lose again until I get another original.
