This was just what I needed. I bought this specifically for my trip to Iceland last week and believe me; it it was much needed. At first I had my doubts seeing how thin it is compared to beanies and other fleece materials but I was pleasantly surprised it held up to blustery winds and snow. There was one evening where the wind was so strong, the snow felt like needles in the areas not shielded by the balaclava but the rest of my face was well protected. I highly recommend the product.
