This works exactly as described and does its job well. What I don't like is that it only holds half a cup of tea at the top. This slows down the process a bit. I was hoping to make one cup and share the cup at once, but it's just not big enough. But it is very easy to clean and quickly disassembled. Glass and plastic appear solid and durable. My only other issue is that the strainer doesn't strain the herbal tea I use very well. I have to take extra steps to avoid ending up with a bunch of floating bits. I'm new to the loose slide although just getting into it. In my opinion, it is good value for money.
