My HP Photo-smart 7510 printer which is about 4 years old. Since we are in the Ministry, this printer is heavily used. We had printing problems for about 8-9 months. We will clean and reload the printhead, ink cartridges, etc. Of course, you can only do this a certain number of times, and the printheads will eventually fail to the point of displaying error messages indicating that they can no longer read the printhead, or a message indicating that it actually can't was installed when it was installed. Due to a limited budget we were a bit apprehensive about getting a new printer, but my son, in his infinite wisdom, started inspecting the printheads and digging a little further when we came across other reviewers. he had the same problem and just replaced the print head. We decided that we would try the same before shelling out money for a new printer and I'm glad we did. The great thing about this printhead manufacturer is that we were given written instructions/suggestions on how to download, install the printhead and/or bypass error messages when we encountered them and that information got through shortly after ordering and before the print head arrived , so we knew there might be a problem during installation. Return information and contact information has also been included. However, our printhead fitted perfectly and worked flawlessly once inserted into the printer. No problem. For those whose printer is busy but on a budget, this has been a blessing. Thank you!
