I wanted something comfortable that wouldn't bother the ear and something simple for every day and night. They are beautiful, well made and packaged in a box. So there is no chance that they will break during transportation. They don't show up or get stuck on things. In the winter I'm a nurse and in the summer I'm a shark diver, always in the water. I don't see any discoloration or odor coming from the ears. The stone is still in both earrings, almost a year later they are still holding up. You get a lot for your money.
