This box was just what I needed for improved storage of my tiny teardrop pendant. I saw warnings about shipping damage and mine had minor dents in a few corners. Manufacturers could use slightly stronger packaging, especially around the corners. Aluminum crates are generally not recommended for batteries or very heavy items, and that was fine once I removed my battery from the crate. Propane tanks in closed boxes are also a problem and I had to fabricate a mounting and venting system for mine. A large hole centered through the aluminum and through the plywood base at the bottom provided a secure location for the tank. I built a reinforced tail for the propane connection, including a 4 x 12 fitting for the hose line. I added 12 vents on the underside of the floor around the tank and four more next to the mounting holes to allow the occasional propane to escape and drain water that I might accidentally overlook. Everything went very well.
